You will never be what you are not now becoming

Looking at my life at the moment i realized that I am becoming someone I don't like... If I want to be walking with the lord in the future then I need to be walking with him today.
How do I walk with him today? what does that look like? what choices does that mean I need to make?

Not sure where the title came from for this post, I saw it on another site and googled it to find the source and your site came up first. I see from the post you are asking some pretty heavy questions. May I make a couple suggestions?

First, I would listen to the following sermons by C.J. Mahaney:
You can find them at www.sovereigngraceministries.org.
"The Main Thing" Parts 1 & 2

I would also pick up a copy of the following and read it:
A Gospel Primer for Christians: Learning to See the Glories of God's Love by Milton Vincent

Finally, I would read the book of Collosians and Ephesians and study them hard.

You are obviously a Christian. Otherwise you wouldn't have these concerns about your life. Jesus is more concerned about your life than you are. It is not a surprise to Him that you have struggles in your walk with Him. He is so familiar with your sins that He died on the cross for them and gave you His righteousness for your sins. For every time you look at yourself and your sins, take ten looks at your savior! He is the one who has forgiven your sins. He is the one who has wiped away all of your guilt. Base your perception of yourself upon the never changing love of Jesus rather than your always changing walk.
